Sharon A. Nachman, M.D. is Chief, Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Associate Professor of Pediatrics. She also is Director of the Pediatric/Maternal AIDS Center, the only center of its kind in the region funded by the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Nachman has been twice cited by Stony Brook University for Excellence in Teaching Pediatric Residents and has been a Principal Investigator for the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development since1992.
Specific areas of expertise: Pediatric AIDS, relationship of-mother-to-child infections, pediatric Lyme disease, pediatric infectious diseases.
