Wayne C. Waltzer, M.D. is Director of the Kidney Transplantation Service, the only such unit on Long Island, and is nationally recognized for his expertise in renal transplantation. He also is Chair of the Department of Urology and a member of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, Society for Urologic Oncology, and American Urological Association. Dr. Waltzer is the principal author of numerous studies on immune monitoring in transplant recipients as well as management of urologic complications by reconstructive surgery. In addition, he has been a national leader in the treatment of urologic diseases including prostate, kidney, bladder and testis cancer.
