Robert Parker, M.D. is Director of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics and an Associate Director of the Long Island Cancer Center. He is considered one of the leading experts in the treatment of childhood cancers and Stony Brook’s pediatric oncology program is nationally recognized for its excellence. He has conducted extensive research on bleeding disorders, platelet disorders, and childhood cancer for the National Institutes of Health and is Professor of Pediatrics, Vice Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics, and a member of the Clinical Advisory Board of the Long Island Cancer Center.

Specific areas of expertise: Childhood cancer. Bleeding disorders. Platelet disorders.
