Annette Handley Chandler to Discuss the Art of Adaptation
SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y., April 20, 2008— Film producer Annette Handley Chandler will discuss the art of adaptation at Stony Brook Southampton on April 30.
The event is part of Southampton’s MFA in Writing and Literature program and its “Writers Speak” series of literary events, which all take place on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in Duke Lecture Hall and are free and open to the public. For further information, call 631-632-5030.
Handley Chandler, director of the inaugural Southampton Screenwriting Conference this summer (July 30-August 3), has worked in all areas of the television and movie business. She was the executive producer of the Emmy-winning “Ansel Adams: The Documentary,” directed by Ric Burns, and has been a literary agent, a network executive and screenwriter. She has also taught screenwriting at Pepperdine and UCLA.
