Lester Paldy, Ph.D., is a Distinguished Service Professor of Technology and Society and works on issues associated with international arms control verification agreements and homeland security. His most recent project supported by the Carnegie Corporation of New York involves the development of cooperative programs to prepare scientists to deal with terrorist threats to the U.S. involving the use of biological weapons. His recent writings include articles on biological, chemical, and nuclear terrorism in the Encyclopedia of Terrorism published in 2003.
