S.N. Sridhar is the Chair of the Department of Asian and Asian American Studies and Professor of Linguistics and India Studies. He is also former Director of the Center for India Studies He has published influential research in bilingualism, sociolinguistics, language modernization, and language acquisition. He has been designated a Senior/Superior Scholar in India Studies by the National Endowment of the Humanities and has authored three books related to Asian language and culture.

Specific areas of Expertise: Structure and forms of Indian English. Teaching English as a second language. Theoretical linguistics.

Kamal K. Sridhar is Director of Center for India Studies and Associate Professor of Linguistics and Asian and Asian American Studies, and. Her research addresses issues in bilingualism, including language use in multilingual India, language maintenance and shift among Asian Indian communities in the U.S., and bilingual code-switching and mixing. Her publications include English in Indian Bilingualism, and she has served as a consultant for the Indian English section of World Englishes Dictionary.

Specific areas of Expertise: Non-native varieties of English. Teaching English as a second language.
