"Sweet Dreams" Chocolate Event to Benefit Cody Center for Autism at Stony Brook University

STONY BROOK, NY, November 18, 2004—“Sweet Dreams,” a chocolate and dessert-tasting event benefiting the Matt and Debra Cody Center for Autism at Stony Brook University, will be held Monday, January 31, 2005 at 7:00 PM at the Watermill Caterers in Smithtown. The event, titled “An Evening of Sweet Dreams and Chocolate Indulgence,” will feature chefs from across Long Island who have donated their time and talents to create exceptional desserts, and will feature the Cacao Noel Chocolate Exhibition.

Chef Chris Singleman of the Watermill and April Griffin, from Paris Gourmet are creators of the event. The Watermill and Paris Gourmet are co-sponsors. Tickets are $50 and corporate sponsorships range from $500 to $5,000. To order tickets, or to receive additional information, please call (631) 444-2899.

Guests at “Sweet Dreams” will experience the Watermill’s Chocolate Fountains in addition to a variety of coffees, wines, hors d’oeuvres, and a hot chocolate bar. At the end of the evening, guests will vote for their favorite dessert and chocolate creation. Prizes will be awarded to the top three chefs.

The Cody Center for Autism (www.codycenter.org) is the regional resource for treatment, research, education, and community outreach for autism and related disabilities.
