Leonie Huddy is a nationally known political psychologist who specializes in public opinion research. She is the Director of the Stony Brook University Center for Survey Research and conducts the quarterly Stony Brook Health Pulse of American polls, which focus of healthcare issues and public opinion. She brings a psychological perspective to bear on the study of public opinion and has published widely on the politics of race and gender relations, and more recently on the political psychology of terrorism. She is co-editor of the recent Oxford Handbook of Political Psychology.
