Josephine Connolly Schoonen, M.S., R.D. is a Clinical Assistant Professor and researcher in the Department of Family Medicine in the School of Medicine and is Director of the Dietetic Internship Program. She holds two New York State grants and operates the New York State-funded Heart Links Program, which coordinates and implements educational and awareness programs on nutrition for schools and community agencies.

Specific areas of expertise: Obesity and childhood obesity. Type II diabetes. Heart disease and hypertension. Eating disorders. Nutrition during pregnancy and childhood nutrition.
