Health Care Experts Michael L. Pearl, M.D., is Associate Professor and Director for the Division of Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Pearl is the principal investigator for the Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) at Stony Brook. The GOG is a national organization devoted to developing and carrying out clinical trials for gynecologic cancers. Dr. Pearl also oversees the research program for the Division of Gynecologic Oncology and is a principal investigator or co-investigator on many National Institutes of Health / National Cancer Institute supported research grants. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as gynecologic oncology. Dr. Pearl is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a Full Member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists and Western Association of Gynecologic Oncologists.
