Arthur A. Stone, Ph.D., is Professor and Vice-Chair of the Department of Psychiatry in the School of Medicine. He is internationally known for his work in behavioral medicine and in the science of self-report. Dr. Stone is a fellow of several professional organizations, has been President of the Academy of Behavioral Medicine, and is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Health Psychology. He is a leader in the use of electronic diaries for the capture of self-report medical data and Ecological Momentary Assessment.

Specific Areas of expertise. Behavioral medicine, health psychology, self-reports. Stress, psychoendocrinology, expressive writing about trauma.
