Stony Brook University's Assistant Chief Honored By Asian American Cultural Festival Of LI

STONY BROOK, N.Y., April 28, 2008 - The Asian American Cultural Festival of Long Island, honored Stony Brook University Assistant Chief of Police, Douglas F. Little, at a celebration at the Charles B. Wang Center on March 29. Chief Little was honored for his over thirty years of promoting a safe, supportive and positive campus environment for the Stony Brook University community. The Honorable John M. Kennedy, presented Chief Little with a proclamation on behalf of County Executive Steve Levy and himself.

The Asian-American Cultural festival celebrates Long Island’s diversity by promoting cultural awareness and appreciation, uniting representatives of various Asian countries under one roof to showcase their heritage and traditions through exhibits, performances, costumes, workshops, films, interactive shows and ceremonies.

Chief Little, lives in Smithtown with his wife Jovanna, Chief Development Officer at Good Shepherd Hospice.
